Heroes

It's a new month and I've decided to try my hand at posting here every day for the entire month. I'm taking part in National Blog Posting Month, otherwise known as NaBloPoMo.

The rules are simple - post once a day, every day for a month. What could be simpler, right? Nothing to it... yeah, right.

This month's theme is Heroes.

Everyone has a hero, don't they? They come in all shapes and sizes.

Some risk their lives keeping us safe from those who would harm us:



Others risk their lives protecting us against a different type of foe:



Some do it simply because they are asked to:



Whatever the reason, they are the ones we count on, look to, and need in our lives.

This month I hope to examine a different sort of hero every day. Some will be personal. Some will not. But, they will all, man, woman, or animal be heroes.
